The 34th Greater Peoria Sports Hall Of Fame Induction Banquet will be held Saturday, April 11th at the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom.
Inductees: Jim Thome, Paula Buscher, Ralph Lawler, H.V. Porter, Mike Robinson Jr., 1976 and 1977 Metamora football teams, 1987 Richwoods football team, 1995 Roanoke-Benson baseball team.
Other honorees: Paul Herzog, winner of the Neve Harms Award for Meritorious Service to Sports, plus Tri-County award winners, Washington wrestling coach Bryan Medlin (Male Coach of the Year), Washington girls basketball coach Maggie Mose (Female Coach of the Year), Notre Dame running back Andy Shadid (Male Athlete of the Year) and Notre Dame distance runner Maryjeanne Gilbert (Female Athlete of the Year).
Social Hour begins @ 5pm, followed by dinner @ 6pm and the induction ceremony. Tickets are $40 if purchased between April 1st-7th.
