Kids have been back in school for a little while now, it’s time to keep an eye on whether or not they’re feeling too much pressure what with homework, school activities and all.
According to NBC News & cinewsnow.com, there are a few signs that can mean your child is overwhelmed (stressed):
-Perhaps your child isn’t taking part in their favorite activities, or maybe they’ve become extra clingy lately.
-Hostility and loss of appetite can also happen.
-Health experts said a good way to help ease the stress, be a good listener.
-Seeking out a child therapist can also help.
The American Psychological Association (apa.org) says, adults can sometimes be unaware when their children are experiencing overwhelming feelings of stress.
Tuning into emotional or behavioral cues is important in identifying potential problems and working with your young person to provide guidance and support to successfully work through difficult times.
