The Peoria Chiefs have announced they will host an Opening Night watch party at Dozer Park as the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs open the 2015 regular season at Wrigley Field on Easter Sunday, April 5th on ESPN-TV. The event will also double as a "Meet the Chiefs" event with the 2015 Chiefs players on hand to sign autographs before the game begins. Fans of both teams can cheer on their team while watching the game on the largest outdoor HD screen in Central Illinois.
Admission to Dozer Park is free and there is an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet available for $13 before in advance or $15 at the door. There will also be a cash bar at this event. Groups of 10 or more can reserve a suite by calling Jason Mott at 309-680-4002.
Doors to Dozer Park will open at 5:30pm on April 5th with the newly arrived 2015 Chiefs players signing autographs before the game. This will be the first event for the 2015 Chiefs players before the Thursday, April 9th home opener against the Quad Cities RiverBandits. In addition to meeting the Chiefs players, fans can also get behind-the-scenes tours of Dozer Park, including the Clubhouse. The Firehouse Team Store will also be open with a sneak peek of new 2015 merchandise and fans who haven't chosen their seats for Season Ticket packages can do so on April 5th.
During the event, fans can sit outside on the party decks, or enjoy one of the luxury suites or the Converse Club with multiple TVs. The buffet will consist of hot dogs, hamburgers, cole slaw, potato salad, and chips with salsa. The buffet will be served in the Suite Level Bradfield's Conference Room from 6:30pm – 8pm The buffet is $13 if ordered online at www.peoriachiefs.com before April 5th and $15 if purchased on the day of the event or at the doors Wednesday night. Fans that don't want the full buffet can order a hamburger basket with fries ($7) or a hot dog basket with fries ($5).
Fans are encouraged to wear their team's colors and jerseys while enjoying the action on the 42' HD10 LED Video Board in right-field. Chiefs staff will also have door prizes including 2015 Chiefs tickets, memorabilia and other prizes.
