It's been almost a full year since last November's tornado but volunteers are still needed in the city of Washington, IL. Bethany Community Church only has two more Saturday volunteer dates this year to help with clean up which are on October 25th and November 15th.
According to ciproud.com, the church has acted as one of the main organizers for volunteers for Tri-County Long Term Recovery.
If you volunteer, you will help continue debris removal and general clean up. You'll also build garden sheds for returning residents.
If you’d like to help, call the volunteer hotline at (309) 573-2670 or email needaid@bethanycommunitychurch.org.
Also, if you need assistance on your home you can also call the homeowner’s hotline at (309) 696-6923.
