The 7th Annual Recovery Walk, in memory of Dr. Ameel Rashid, will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 10am-2pm at Proctor Hospital located at 5409 North Knoxville Avenue in Peoria, IL.

Proceeds from the walk will benefit the Ameel Rashid Scholarship for Addiction Recovery. 

The scholarship was established in 2007 to help people who are appropriate for treatment services at the Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery but are unable to meet the financial requirement for those services. 

This Recovery Walk event will have music, a silent auction, face painting, and a cookout.

Registration is $20 for adults, $15 for children younger than 12, and $50 for families.
