The Windy City honored 10-time Grammy Award winner Chaka Khan on last weekend.
The Chicago-born singer/songwriter, activst, and philanthropist, Chaka Khan, who is celebrating four decades in the business, was on hand Saturday, July 27th, for the ceremonial unveiling of the sign marking Chaka Khan Way, located on South Blackstone Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets.
To wrap up the weekend-long festivities, on Sunday, July 28th, Khan gave a free outdoor concert in Milleneum Park.
The 60-year old Khan was born Yvette Marie Stevens in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL.
