For people on the Riverfront, watching the 4th of July fireworks is the fun & easy part; the hassle is getting back home. 

Are you headed to the Riverfront for the 4th of July fireworks? Plan ahead because there are some roads that won't be available to use.

According to ciproud.com, Water Street has been blocked off between State and Hamilton. Washington Street between State and Liberty is already closed for construction but lanes going southbound will be opened. Drivers on Adams Street won't be able to turn right towards the river for several blocks. 

On the east side of the river, The Bob Michel Bridge will close from 9pm-11pm; east and west bound off ramps on I-74 in East Peoria will be closed just prior to the fireworks and will not open until after the show.
