Summer is a time when school is out and people are heading outdoors to lakes and pools.
Those areas pose a danger to your cell phone.
Our phones are to an extent part of us.
We use them every single day, and most of you might have them in your hand right now.
What happens to our phones when they over heat on days like today?
Summer is a great time of year to take your kids to the pool.
What better way to document those memories, then by taking pictures with your smartphone?
What you may not realize, is these hot days have the potential to ruin your phone.
If the device is damaged, your pictures and other data could be permanently gone.
Phone Technician, Dave Jacobs says,
“With pools, large windows can get some pretty intense reflections which have a magnifying effect on that sunlight. As long as you’re in a shady spot that can make a huge difference.”
If you can’t just leave it home, keep it under neath an umbrella or away from anything that produces condensation.
Many people have dropped their phone in water and then they’ll reach for the rice. Experts tell us, that life hack isn’t true.
Jacobs also says,
“You’re better off just putting it in front of a fan basically, because that air movement is going to work way faster then the dry pasta dry rice.”
The plastic on your phone that makes up the lens and other parts can degrade and warp in intense UV rays.
Which could end up ruining your LCD screen and put you out of a lot of money.
Consider buying a separate water resistant case for the summer to prevent these types of problems.
If you’re in the hot sun, keep your phone in the shade as much as possible.
The last thing you want, is to lose all your contacts and pictures in your phone. Always remember, Safety First!
