Michelle Obama’s memoir clearly struck a chord with Grammy voters.

The former first lady became an early Grammy winner ahead of Sunday night’s ceremony in Los Angeles, CA when she received the trophy for Best Spoken Word Album for the Audiobook version of “Becoming.”

Obama released the best-selling memoir in November 2018.

It’s Obama’s first Grammy triumph. She won a category that also included “The Beastie Boys Book,” John Waters’ “Mr. Know-It-All,” Eric Alexandrakis’ “I.V. Catatonia: 20 Years As A Two-Time Cancer Survivor,” and “Sekou Andrews & The String Theory.”

According to NY Daily News, her husband, Barack Obama, is a two-time Grammy winner, taking home the honor for Best Spoken Word Album both times.

The former president won his first Grammy in 2005 for “Dreams From My Father,” and his second in 2007 for “The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream.”
