The Macon County, IL Sheriff’s Office, is advising you to be aware of people soliciting donations under false pretenses.
According to the Sheriff’s office and Neuhoff Media, solicitors are posing as the Fraternal Order of Police and asking for donations.
However, the F.O.P. says they do not go door-to-door for donations or solicit over the phone.
If you live in Decatur, IL or Macon County, IL Area/Vicinity and someone comes to your door saying they represent the Fraternal Order of Police, do not give them money and contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
