WVEL News Scope: Pekin Native Scott Altman Has Been Chosen For The Astronaut Hall Of Fame

Former NASA astronaut and Pekin, IL native Scott Altman, has been chosen for the Astronaut Hall of Fame.

Altman first went into space in 1998, eventually logging 51 days, 12 hours, and 47 minutes in space.

He also commanded the final two missions to repair the Hubble space telescope.

The induction ceremony takes place Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral,Merritt Island, FL.
