If you think you overpaid for a TV or monitor, time is running out to try and get that money back.
Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says you have until July 12 of next year to get a piece of a $36 million dollar settlement with manufacturers like LG, Hitachi, Philips and Samsung for fixing prices of cathode ray tube or CRT devices made between March 1, 1995 to November 25, 2007.
The most you can recover is between $20 – $60.
Attorney General Madigan said,
“These companies illegally conspired to fix prices for CRTs. I encourage any Illinois consumers or business who bought a television or monitor containing these CRTs to file claims to recover the money they are owed.”
Claim forms can be filed online at www.illinoiscrtsettlement.com. The deadline to file claims is July 12, 2018. More information about the settlement is available by visiting www.illinoiscrtsettlement.com or by calling 1-866-652-8226.
