“Attention, attention, smoking is becoming “uncool” for teens; once again, smoking is becoming “uncool” for teens!”
According to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention & NBC News, smoking is increasingly uncool in the teenage world.
Since 2012, the number of kids in middle and high school who tried cigars and cigarettes decreased significantly.
The number of teens who never smoked and showed no interest in ever starting increased overall.
Curiosity and usage of smokeless tobacco did not change.
Experts stress that any exposure to nicotine can have adverse effects on brain development.
