Items belonging to a Memphis religious legend will go on display at a new Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C.
The late Bishop G.E. Patterson’s belongings will be available for viewing at the Museum of African American History and Culture.
Bishop Patterson was a leader in the Church of God in Christ denomination, and much more.
Patterson’s widow, Louise, donated the items.
They will be located on the fourth floor.
The museum is set to open to the public real soon.
Bishop Patterson was the founder of Bountiful Blessings Ministries and served as presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle of the COGIC (Church Of God In Christ) from 2000 until his death in 2007.
