“Tax time, tax time, it’s tax time once again!!”
Alright, alright even though this tax jingle has been made up, the 2016 income tax filing season is really here!
According to cinewsnow.com, the IRS expects more than 150 million people to file returns this year.
Officials expect around 80% of returns to be filed electronically with a similar percentage of refunds issued by direct deposit.
William Sharpe, president of Total Income Tax said,
“It just makes things a little more streamlined, especially if tax payers getting a refund; they get the refund quicker with e-filing as opposed to mailing it in the old school way.”
“Attention all tax procrastinators, attention all tax procrastinators, buckle up & hold on tight…..”
For those of you who like to file at the last minute, just a reminder, you’ll have until Monday, April 18th to file your 2015 returns. That’s because the Emancipation Day holiday falls on Friday, April 15th. (Insert Praise Break Here)
Happy filing!
