“Have you been wishing for an app that will help you with parking, well soon and very soon, your wish may be fullfilled!”
If you park in downtown Peoria there will soon be a new way to pay.
According to cinewsnow.com, “Passport Parking” is an app that allows anyone to use their phone to pay for their parking spot.
The amount of time you can pay for will remain the same. The app will allow you to extend your meter without having to go outside.
Public Works Director Mike Rogers said,
“No way are we taking out any types of meters because there are a lot of people who do like the old fashion way and we want to keep that as a possibility for people; just expanding the way people can pay,”
You can download the app from the iPhone app store and the Android Google Play Store.
Rogers added the city is hoping to begin fully using the app in the next few weeks.
