“From Television City In Hollywood, It’s The $100,000 Pyramid!”

The $100,000 Pyramid is being rebooted and is headed to prime time on ABC-TV this Summer!

According to Entertainment Weekly and blackamericaweb.com, this new incarnation of the classic game show, in which a celebrity and an average citizen team up against another celebrity and another average citizen to play a word-association game, will be hosted by New York Giants Hall of Famer and “Live! with Kelly and Michael” co-host Michael Strahan.

Old school game show watchers may remember the show started out as The $10,000 Pyramid in 1973 on CBS-TV before moving to ABC-TV the following year with the late Dick Clark as host. Over the years, various versions have aired in daytime, syndication, and cable (GSN aired The Pyramid in 2012), but this is the first time the show will air as a regular series in prime time. ABC has ordered 10 episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid, and this newest edition is believed to be pretty close to the original version.

So if you want to be a thousandaire, catch the $100,000 Pyramid coming this Summer to a TV near you!
