Macy’s at Northwoods Mall is among the company’s 40 stores to close nationwide after “disappointing” sales and earnings performance in 2015.

According to cinewsnow.com, the department-store chain, which had plans to close some stores in September 2015, has released a list of stores that will be closed.

Sixty-two associates will be out of the job after Peoria’s store shuts its doors. It is the only Illinois location expected to close.

The company says up to 4,800 jobs will be cut nationwide.

Final clearance sales at all closing locations will begin on Monday, January 11th and run for between 8 to 12 weeks.
