About the South Side Office Of Concern:
The South Side Office of Concern (SSOC) was founded in 1982 and has a long history of offering service to populations of individuals that have limited resources and support systems, including people with severe and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and other special needs.
SSOC recognizes that in addition to the economic stressors these individuals face, a disability often further impacts access to gainful employment, adequate housing and services. SSOC’s priority is to address the special needs of individuals with such psychosocial barriers.
Community and on-site services and supports are provided for persons with acknowledged mental, social or physical disabilities. Services are individually tailored to assist people in achieving and maintaining rehabilitative, resiliency and recovery goals. Services consist of therapeutic interventions that facilitate illness self-management, skill building, identification and use of natural supports, and use of community resources in order to achieve his/her highest level of self-sufficiency and to maintain housing stability and recovery.
This event will also feature a brunch buffet, a silent auction and an awards ceremony.
Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased online at ssocpeoria.org or by calling (309) 222-2751.
The South Side Office of Concern (SSOC) will hold the Brunch to Crunch Homelessness on Saturday, November 7th from 10:30am – 1:30pm at the Peoria Civic Center located in the Ballroom.
