The Summer Festa Picnic is a long-standing family event held by the Society every year since its founding in 1929. The picnic brings a small piece of Italy and its traditions to central Illinois each summer.

The Italian-American Society of Peoria’s 86th Summer Festa Picnic will take place at Hickory Grove Park  on Sunday, August 9th (located at 12403 North Hickory Grove Rd. Dunlap, IL) from noon to 6pm.

There will be Italian food, beverages, gift booths, a car show, children’s activities, a spaghetti-eating contest, and bocce ball.

Admission is $3 for adults and free for children under age 12; event parking is free.
