The Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (CityLink) experienced record ridership of 3,420,705 for the 2015 Fiscal Year period of July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. The previous record fiscal year ridership of 3,408,232 was set in 2013.

According to ridecitylink.org, The Greater Peoria Mass Transit started tracking Fiscal Year ridership in 1975 with ridership of 2,194,704. Since then ridership has experienced fluctuations, but since the 2011 fiscal year, it has consistently held at more than three million.

CityLink General Manager Al Stanek said in his statement:

“On behalf of the entire City Link family, I would like to thank our customers, Board Members, the entire staff, and the taxpayers who support our critical services, for contributing toward a fiscal year in which we are not only able to report record utilization of services, but a fiscal year operating budget that came in at $1.5 million under budget.”

 

During the past fiscal year, CityLink added Sunday Service and experienced the highest monthly ridership in October 2014 with 331,935 rides.
