Gas prices are finally falling after more than two months of steady climbing.

According to gasbuddy.com and cinewsnow.com, over the past two weeks, the average price of gas dropped two-cents.

This comes after 2 1/2 months of increases totaling 42 cents per gallon.

Demand is growing; but a large supply of gasoline is keeping prices from going up.

We could see prices continue to decrease in the weeks ahead.

The current price of gas is 86 cents less than it was in 2014.

In the Peoria area, prices have fallen nine cents a gallon in the past week alone.

Right now as we speak,  the average is $2.62 a gallon.
