According to cinewsnow.com and ridecitylink.org, CityLink has experienced another year of increased ridership in 2014.
The bus service reported 3,426,700 rides in 2014 (a 2.09% increase from 2013).
CityLink’s ridership has been consistently over three million since 2011, including a record-breaking year in 2012 which saw almost 3.5 million rides.
CityLink Interim General Manager John Anderson said,
“We experienced several key events during the past year that impacted our ridership.” “We saw lower ridership in January and February due to the harsh winter conditions; but we then added Sunday Service in June 2014, and after an aggressive Back to School marketing campaign, we experienced record ridership in September and October.”
