The Dads’ Dash Peoria 5K Run & Walk is to honor fathers, who lost their lives to ALS. The goal is to raise critical awareness and money for research in hopes of one day finding a cure for Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The event will be held on Saturday, September 13th.
Few understand this fatal disease until it directly affects someone they know and love. The Dads’ Dash 5K race will create awareness of ALS, provide resources and offer an opportunity for people to connect and support one another in the fight to defeat ALS.
Funds raised will also support much needed care services for persons and families living with ALS in Central Illinois. Helping The ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter deliver assistance to those in Central Illinois who are fighting this disease is a top priority!
The location for this event will be held in Downtown Peoria at 418 SW Water St in Peoria, IL.
