Former natonal radio host, recording artist, and singer-songwriter, Al "The Bishop" Hobbs lost his battle with cancer on Thursday.
According to nbcnews.com, Hobbs, was a former broadcaster at WTLC-AM/FM and well-known in the gospel music arena as a singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. For more than over 20 years, Hobbs helped grow WTLC-AM/FM by working as a sales manager and eventually becoming the station's general manager.
Hobbs, who battled cancer for the past three years, also served as chairman of both the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) and the Gospel Announcer's Guild (GAG), and was founder of Aleho International Music & Aleho Enterprises and so much more.
Just recently, he was honored with Indiana Black Expo's Trail Blazer Award at this year's 44th Summer Celebration, but was too ill to attend the ceremony.
