According to cinewsnow.com, the Chicago Bears will be visiting Washington, IL on Friday for a flag raising ceremony and clean-up effort.
The Bears will arrive between 9:30am and 10:30am to the town square for the flag ceremony before heading to Bethany Community Church to assist in cleaning up lawns and streets still covered with debris from November’s tornado.
"As volunteerism has decreased, the need for debris clean-up continues. We are very grateful that the Chicago Bears organization would take time out to help our community. Our hope is that this event will highlight that the need for volunteers is still great," said Ben Davidson, Executive Pastor at Bethany Community Church and Co-Chairman of the Volunteer Management Committee.
If you would like to volunteer, email [email protected] or call (309) 573-2670.
