The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce of Quincy, IL, has released the schedule for the Official 2014 Dogwood Festival.
This year's theme, "Top of the List," will include block parties, a parade, dance, activities, and concerts with Quincy High School Concert Band.
If you are interested on traveling to the "Gem City" for this festival, here are a few events that will be taking place the rest of this week.
The official schedule for the Dogwood Festival is listed below:
Wednesday, April 30th:
-6:30pm Quincy High School Concert Band & Orchestra Banquet Concert, Baldwin Gym
Thursday, May 1st:
-7pm Little King and Queen of Dogwood Pageant, Quincy Mall Center Court
-7pm Quincy Notre Dame High School Spring Choral Concert, QND Gymnasium
Friday, May 2nd:
-6pm, Neighborhood Block Parties, Various Locations.
Saturday, May 3rd:
-8am, Bake Sale, Quincy Museum, 1601 Maine Street
-8am-11am, “Grab and Go” Breakfast at Quincy Junior High, 14h and Maine
-8:30am, Breakfast on the Lawn, First Christian Church, 1415 Maine
-9am-6pm, Amusement rides, food, crafts in Washington Park
-9:30am, Parade, 24th & Maine, proceeds west to 6th St. Please bring a canned food item for the “Operation Serve” collection for local pantries.
-12noon-3pm, Entertainment at Fifth & Hampshire
-1pm-4pm, Pet events, vendors and demonstrations, sponsored by Pet Supplies “Plus”
-5pm-7pm, AAUW Annual Spring Fundraiser, Patio Party, 1680 Maine
-6pm, “Rockin’ Around the Dogwoods” dinner dance, the Elks Lodge, 311 N. 2nd, sponsored by American Business Women’s Association. Music by Raised on Radio. Dinner at 6pm; dancing 7pm-11pm.
