According to ciproud.com, the Peoria County Sheriff's Office warns of a current scam in the Peoria County/Bartonville area that involves a vacuum cleaning demonstration and may result in theft.

Homeowners are being approached by an attractive female claiming to be with Midwest Elite Sales or Kirby Vacuums. She gains entry to the residence by offering to clean their carpets for free. Once inside, she alerts her male colleagues to bring in the vacuum cleaners. They stay for several hours and while one vacuums, the other goes through the house trying to steal money or items.
