Newsflash, “The Queen Latifah Show” will see a second season!

According to blackamericaweb.com, Sony Pictures Television announced earlier this week that the entertainer’s daytime talk show has been renewed by the CBS Station Group for a second season locking in the show’s broadcast clearance across 97% of the country through 2015.

John Weiser, President, U.S. Distribution for Sony Pictures Television says, “We look forward to building on the success of this year’s #1 new talk show by delivering the highest quality program to our stations, advertisers and viewers.”

To date, “The Queen Latifah Show” ranks as the Number One new talk show, winning every week of the season in households and total viewers over her fellow newcomers. 

For instance, the show has also improved time periods across the major markets vs. the prior year; including New York City, NY where Latifah delivered WCBS’ 9am time period’s best 25-54 rating in over a decade in November 2013.
