The Salvation Army is at work helping victims and first responders after tornadoes ripped through Central Illinois on Sunday.
According to ciproud.com, Canteen crews are deployed in Pekin and Washington, Illinois, where there was much major damage. The best way for area folks to help those affected is by providing financial support.
Those wanting to support, can donate online at saheartland.org, or by sending a check to The Salvation Army, 401 NE Adams, Peoria, IL 61603. People can also text GIVEHEART to 80888 to make a $10 donation on their cellphone. People then need to reply YES to complete the donation.
