"Take a ride on the Ray LaHood Highway!!"

 According to ciproud.com, a bill renaming a portion of I-74 after former Peoria Congressman and former U S Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, was approved last Thursday by the Illinois Senate, having already passed the Illinois House on last Wednesday.

Congressman LaHood played a major role in the Upgrade 74 Road Improvement Project.

The six-mile honorary roadway of I-74, will stretch from the Murray Baker Bridge to the Sterling Avenue exit.
