If your daughter is a Girl Scout, or maybe you were a Girl Scout yourself, you know how important this organization is in our community.

The Girl Scouts of Central Illinois are attempting to raise $1 million to fund a brand new program center here in Peoria that will be equipped with an interactive teaching kitchen, a large program room, a science, technology, engineering, a math lab, outdoor space for troop activities, and a boutique!

There are 6,000+ Girl Scouts in the Peoria area, and they have outgrown their current facilities, which also need an upgrade.  So, today is the day where YOU can make an impact for the future leaders of the world.

If you'd like to help the Girl Scouts reach their goal, here are four ways you can support them:

1) Text EMPOWER to 20222 from your cell phone to donate $10.

2) Donate online at getyourgirlpower.org; When the drop down box appears, select the Peoria Service Center.

3) Call Girl Scouts of Central Illinois at 309-282-0820 and make a donation.

4) Stop by the Peoria Service Center at 1103 West Lake Avenue in Peoria!
