WorldFest 2013, a celebration of the many ethnic groups in Central Illinois in conjunction with Youth Doing the Right Thing, will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 10am – 4pm at the Peoria Civic Center (Exhibit Hall D) in Peoria, IL. Parking and admission are free.
The International Food Court will feature ethnic food and desserts from around the world. The entertainment stage will feature ethnic music and dancing provided by the participating ethnic groups.
WorldFest 2013 begins with an Opening Ceremony and Presentation of Flag Colors with local dignitaries presiding. The event will include local representation from many cultures, including Chinese-American, Native American, Indo-American, Irish-American, Italian-American, Greek-American, Vietnamese-American, German-American, Croatian-American, Korean-American, Lebanese-American, Hispanic-American, Swiss-American and Filipino-American.
