The 11th annual Rhapsody in Bloom Art Fair will be taking place on June 29th & 30th at the Luthy Botanical Garden in Peoria, IL. This art fair will feature original artwork by more than 50 regional artists.

Luthy Botanical Garden will provide a verdant backdrop for the festival. Gardens and special events include the annual Bonsai Show, presented by the Heart of Illinois Bonsai Club with members available to provide information and answer questions. Also on hand will be the Peoria Herb Guild with an informational booth and the Peoria County Master Gardeners who will answer questions and provide information.

There will also be live entertainment. On Saturday from 11am-12:30 pm, Peoria Park District Players will perform; from 12:30pm-1:30 p.m. Dane & Friends will be featured with instrumental music; from 1:45pm-3pm Hayley & Steve will perform blues and jazz; and from 3pm-5pm saxophonist Paul Weddle will play jazz. On Sunday, the Park Players will perform from noon-1:30 pm; and Stacy Bertram and Paul Conner will play jazz from 2pm-4pm.

Judging will take place on Sunday morning, with prizes presented at that time. In addition there will be a silent auction of unique artwork.

Food vendors are also participating in the event, and there will be art activities for the kids in the children's garden.

The art fair runs from 10am-5pm Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5pm Admission is $3. Children 12 and under are free.
