The summer season is here and the time is right for "The 2013 Wild West Of The Cherry Fest." The Washington Cherry Festival of Washington, IL is finally here!

The Cherry Festival begins on tonight and will end on Saturday, June 1st.

This event will feature cherry treats (such as Cherry Beef Brisket Tacos, Homemade Cherry Pies, Cherry Cheesecake, Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes, and drinks), musical entertainment, children's activities, carnival, games, crafts, and so much more.

The festival kicks off today with a Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting, a musical performance by the WCHS Jazz Band, Community Night Dinner, Community Showcase, and a Good Neighbor Award. "Teen Night" along with Christian Concerts will be on site at the festival for Thursday. Fireworks, Special Kids Day, and Honor Student Day will be on Friday. A Rotary Breakfast, Cherry Fest Run/Walk, Family Bike Ride, Cherry Cook Off, Children’s Events, and Kidz Got Talent will be on hand for the finale on Saturday.
