Veterans Homefront Drive

There will be a benefit ride for Leukemia Lymphoma Society on Saturday, September 6.  Registration is from 3-4:30 p.m. at Edwards Tap (10004 W Powder Mill Rd in Edwards, Illinois).  All vehicles are welcome.  Last vehicle will be in at 7:30 p.m.  It costs $30 to participate in the 45 mile run.  All procees to to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.  There will be prizes, 50/50 and raffles.

On Sunday September 7, Slavonia Band, a tamburitza musical group from Zupanja, Croatia, along with vocalist, Stejpan Jersek, will present a concert at the Optimist Club in St. David IL. The concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. Admission will be $5 for adults; children will be admitted free of charge. There will also be an auction, raffle and bake sale.  On July 1st Jeremy was diagnosed with empyema (infection) on the lining of his brain. He has undergone 3 brain surgeries and a sinus surgery all during the month of July. He is a restoration technician with Menold Restoration in Morton. He will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time.
