Have you ever seen bell ringers for the Salvation Army but not had cash to pay them?

There’s going to be another alternative option this holiday season.

Now you can donate the money as long as you have Apple Pay or Google Pay.

According to WICS-TV, The Salvation Army said accepting the digital payments has really been a help to them and been relatively easy to keep track of.

It has also proven to be convenient for many people who walk by.

“Wherever at all our locations, every single one of them, there’s a sign at each kettle stand and on that sign is this little square thing here and they can scan the tag and donate that way,” said Springfield, IL Salvation Army Office Manager Cory Hammock.

Now, you need to have the payment plans set up on your cellphone, so if you do decide to make a cashless donation, you do not run into any issues.

You can also donate online to, give.salvationarmyusa.org/give, if you like.
