What a wonderful way to kick off your summer; It’s the 54th Annual Tremont Turkey Festival in Tremont, IL being held on June 7-9, 2019!

When you go to the little, big town of Tremont, you’ll discover that food is a huge part of the festival. From strawberry shortcakes, to pancakes and sausage on Saturday morning, to their famous grilled turkey, they have plenty of options to offer and they’ll encourage you to try them all.

Enjoy the beautiful park as you stroll through the craft and antique booths, stop by the country store, or watch the numerous performers in the entertainment area. (All of the entertainment is free!) From the Miss Tremont Pageant, to the bed races, to the parade on Sunday afternoon, there is something here to entertain all ages.

What’s New To The Festival:

Charge It-
This year we will be accepting credit/debit card payments at the food lines, Turkey Express, strawberry shortcake tent, and in the country store. No more worrying about having enough cash to buy that extra sandwich; just put it on your card

Armbands for the Carnival-
In the past, Thursday night at the carnival has been buddy night, where two can ride for the price of one. This year they are not having buddy night. Instead, they are having two separate days with armband hours! In addition to having armbands on Thurday night (6-10 PM), there will also be armband hours on Sunday afternoon (12-4 PM). For one price ($20 in advance, $25 at the carnival), the armband wearer can ride as many rides as desired.

Car Show Moved-
Rather than being in the parking lot of Camden Chiroparactic as it has been in the past, the car show is moving north this year. It will be located in the 100 block of North Sampson near the Antique Corner (just across Route 9 from Camden’s). Not having to cross Route 9 should make it easier for festivalgoers to check out the entries.

Shaking Things Up On Sunday-
Things will be a little different this year on Sunday. The parade will kick off at 2 PM instead of 4 PM. Grab some turkey sandwiches and shortcake for lunch, then find a place a long the route to enjoy the parade.

Rather than the parade being the end of the festival, things will keep going strong afterward with Tremont’s Got Talent in the entertainment tent.
